I am an avid beard oil user... And this scent for me is a little too "peppery/beachwoody." If you want a scent that smells like a more sophisticated,rough and tough, robust scent, this is by all means your scent. I am more of a sweeter scented oil guy myself. I prefer the sandalwood scent over the more robust scents. I will say I purchased 4 and I will have plenty of time to continue experimenting, and who knows maybe I will get the scent to grow on me.
Now with the beard balm, that is where the 4 stars come in, it is a smooth leather, it holds beard in place and the "manly/ beechwood" scent it gives off definitely is a head turner. If your needing a more robust smell for a balm that holds this is the product for you.
All in all it's a great scent for the more outdoorsy, rough and tough type fellas, as for me I prefer a more sandalwood sweet scent.
